Her creativity in styling and footwork is enhanced by her sense of musicality and the ease with which she has incorporated other forms of dance.   She is featured in Shaka Brown's Volume 4 turn patterns DVD and had released an informative and easy to follow guide on spinning technique, Spins By Magna and an informative guide to proper technique, body isolation, muscle control, body awareness, and musicality, Body Movement By Magna.***

Magna has been dancing, travelling, performing, and teaching since December 1999.  She began by taking a few lessons with a friend in Toronto and after her first few lessons the instructor asked her to assist him with his beginner classes. She continued progressing by going out regularly to the salsa clubs in Toronto, always making sure to have a few dances with the top leaders to improve her following and technique.  In 2004 she began dancing with her friend Mark Anthony in his group Mambo Tribe and travelled to a few locations such as France, Germany, Chicago, Rochester, etc where she built her name and reputation as an excellent follower, spinner and stylist.  By 2005 she had already developed her name as her brand and was approached by Shaka Brown to be featured in his Volume 4 DVD.  From that DVD and with the assistance of iMambo.tv she launched her own website and released two of her own DVDs*** which showcased her talent for breaking down proper technique for body isolations and spins.  One of her strengths as an instructor is credited to the fact that she is self taught and her method of teaching and breaking down the dance and movement comes from her own understanding and awareness of the body and natural movement.

Check out Event Reviews & Official Calendar to see her past and upcoming travels. She has performed with great dancers such as Ismael Otero (NJ), Sekou Mc Miller(Chicago), Tze-Yi (Singapore), Darlin Garcia (Philadelphia), Shaka Brown (DC), and Jayson Molina (Puerto Rico).  When she is not on the road giving workshops, dancing and performing, she's in New York choreographing and teaching.
