Exercising to stay fit and healthy always seemed necessary but boring until I started approaching my workouts with curiosity and adventure. All of a sudden, fitness became a fun and creative path to self-awareness, discipline and growth.
My QFit workouts are structured, challenging and fun. Show up, give your best effort and I promise, you will get a good sweat, a good laugh, and finish each workout with a sense of confidence and accomplishment.
My Philosophy: Strong Body, Strong Mind.
Salsa dancing, as a career and a passion, has been extremely beneficial in introducing and maintaining the importance of physical activity in my life. It’s a great form of cardio and movement, and for many years, was my only form of fitness and exercise.
It wasn’t until I suffered a few injuries that I realized that dance, alone, would not be enough to meet the physical desires, demands and challenges of my life.
To prevent injuries, heal faster, and be confidently prepared for anything, I needed a more balanced physical fitness routine that not only incorporated cardio, like dance, but also strength, mobility, flexibility, creativity, speed, endurance, and grit.
I began to train in a way that would benefit my dancing, improve my mental resilience and performance in other areas of my life, and simultaneously nurture my creativity and sense of adventure. The exercises and routines I create are physically and mentally demanding, but also a lot of fun.
These workouts have directly, and indirectly, deepened my appreciation for functional fitness, heightened my self-awareness, brought clarity to my self-expression, increased my confidence, enhanced my presence, improved my delivery as a communicator, and strengthened my ability to meet and overcome the obstacles and challenges I regularly face.
I’m very excited to finally provide global access to my training and workouts so that you too can experience these benefits.
Origins of QFit: No-Excuses Online Fitness
The worldwide Quarantine in 2020 revealed many problems, including those of motivation, stress, belonging, and maintaining a healthy routine while being confined at home.
My desire to tackle these problems resulted in the creation of ‘QFit with Magna:’ A raw, no-excuses program open to everyone, regardless of their fitness level or experience. It was an exciting and engaging way to make my private training sessions and approach to fitness available to the global community.
With QFit w Magna, everyone is invited and encouraged to show up, give 100% of their effort, sweat, and laugh. You will finish each workout with a sense of confidence and accomplishment, knowing you were investing in your health and well-being. An added bonus is the QFitCrew, a growing diverse and inclusive group of people from around the world, ready and waiting to support you.
Each of these workouts are designed to present fitness, not as a grudging boring chore, but a fun and creative process of self-discovery and growth.
